New Job Opportunity – Mid-level Brand & Comms Strategist

New Job Opportunity – Mid-level Brand & Comms Strategist

About the Role:

We’re looking for a strategist with 1-3 years of experience to be the 4th member of our glowing & growing planning team at Red Brick Road, helping us craft compelling through the line comms strategies to meet our diverse mix of client goals and challenges.

The role will be diverse and flexible, with huge potential to evolve and be shaped to your personal interests, passions, or channel expertise. In any given week you could be strategically shaping PR-able, fame-driving social-first work for our challenger chocolate client Nomo; nutting out strategic thinking for household brands like Hillarys or Hilton and the next uncovering small business insights for British Business Bank or crafting a strategy to change perceptions of Amazon in the food category.

Other clients include Post Office, Skipton Building Society, Deezer and Westland Horticulture, with plenty of opportunity to refine & develop new strategic skills through our breadth of clients & variety of work that we do.

About Planning at Red Brick Road:

We’re a team who believe we’re bigger than the sum of our parts, making you integral to our ‘scrums’ and team projects – from helping to drive agency understanding and usage of AI to upskilling & inspiring other departments on the latest best practice, insight & creative work. You’ll join a supportive team with the opportunity to collaborate closely with senior strategists and be mentored by experienced leaders.

About Red Brick Road:

We value collaboration & inclusivity.

We want work to feel fulfilling and impactful

We want you to bring your authentic self to work

We want to create the best work we can, and have a great time doing it

As of 2024, we have IPA Gold agency status, because of our commitment to developing our people & inclusive culture

We’re independent and entrepreneurial. Unlike networked agencies, we answer to ourselves and no one else! We go after the business we want to work on, and work on it in the way we want to.

What we’re looking for:

1-3 years of experience in any planning discipline, in an agency environment

Passion for brands & brand communications

Ability to articulate ideas persuasively and meaningfully

Ability to develop presentations with clear, compelling narratives

Ability to identify core issues to address in brand strategies

Strong analytical skills, ability to understand and tell a story using data

Familiarity with planning principles, processes & frameworks

Ability to present strategies as actionable ideas

Ability to engage in thought-provoking & creative thinking

Interest in expanding knowledge & approach to content planning, social, PR & digital strategy

Strong interpersonal skills, ability to both influence & work collaboratively with other departments

Open-mindedness, curiosity and ‘non-marketing’ interests

Good vibes!

Who you’ll work with:

PR & Social channel experts

Culturally clued-up social creatives, strategists & filmmakers

‘Traditional’ advertising creatives & copywriters

Super talented designers & art directors

Creatively passionate account managers & business leaders

A load of other nice people!

What else?

Agency life is really important to us, with plenty of opportunities to get together socially, whether through our weekly Thursday agency lunches, both summer & Christmas agency parties, a monthly (ish) ‘Red Show’ company meeting, and not forgetting regular trips to our local The Sutton!

We also offer a load of other benefits – from free breakfast, funding for personal development, APG membership and an annual wellbeing allowance, giving you the tools you need to take on our values of ‘Follow your head’ (innovate, problem-solve and use data and logic to inspire creative leaps), ‘Follow your heart’ (act with passion for our clients’ business, develop ideas which connect emotionally with consumers, and give-back to society), and ‘Follow your Courage’ (be brave, be tenacious, and be entrepreneurial).
